Neues von Alibaba, unserem schönen Sloughi. Er lebt jetzt genau ein Jahr bei Ine und ihrer Familie.

ich schreibe meine Nachricht auf Englisch, denn ich jetzt nicht mehr so gut Deutsch spreche. Ja, ich wohne schon ein ganz Jahr hier im Belgien!
And everything is going great. I hope you don't expect me to grow some weight, because I haven't ;-)). I'm still a beautiful, skinny boy, though I eat a lot (fresh meat: mmmmhhhh).
A year in Belgium has flown by. I can hardly believe it's already one whole year since my arrival here. I've met a lot of people and most of all, a lot of dogs! Mostly sighthounds, but not exclusively. I've also lost one of my best friends, Indira (afghan girl) and recently gained 2 new friends from Afghanistan... Ow boy, Saïda, the youngest one, is a handful! I always thought I was active and playful, but Saïda is even worse then me.
Jazz wasn't so keen on me at first sight, but our relation has improved a lot (and will aprove even better when she'll be in heat - haha!! Although I must say: I never get my chances in this area. Mister Maigret, a big male galgo, 13 years of age, is still above me and when one of the females is in heat, he doesn't allow me to make puppies...)
For now, Jazz is not doing so well. She ran in the garden on Sunday and missed her curb. She slided away on the wet grass and hurt her knee of her back leg. Her cruciate ligament of the knee is torn... very painful! She walks on 3 legs for the moment and our vet has given her some strong medicines. She has to rest for one whole week and then take new pictures of her knee. Unfortunately, she will have to be careful for the rest of her life, so no running or coursing for her anymore. Poor Jazz, she's so very fond of running, and for an afghan, she's very fast!
Well, my relationship with all the other dogs is excellent! Even with Evgeni I'm on a peacefront. So, I'm looking forward to meet you all on the 12th of August, and give you all a big hug.
Almost forgot: my bosses got me a new pillow to sleep on. I like it a lot, so I decided there's no longer need of the couch... When Ine was upstairs putting the children to bed, I've simply torn the couch down. You can't imagine how much stuf you can pull out of couch in just a few minutes of time :-))).
